To start my website I choose to use 'Wix' and used a blank template so everything is custom made by me. I then chose what pages I want to have on my website: Home, Story, Behind the scenes, Ava's scrapbook (an interactive page), and Gallery.

I started experimenting with what I can do to make the home page interesting, and from this I set a gif I made as a video background. I also attached social media icons and a menu to the header so that they can be clicked on from every page.
Next I started to work on the gallery page because I had a vision as to what I wanted it to look like. As I had already linked our instagram I thought that I won't just repeat the images but make new ones for the website so there is a lot of different content across all platforms. I took inspiration from 'Paper Towns' and 'Me and Earl And The Dying Girls' pictures to edit my ones in a similar fashion, having text and images overplayed to make it a cartoony style.

I have changed the look of how I want my website to be since planning my sketches because as an interactive feature I though I could make a page called "Ava's Scrapbook". This sounds quite vague but from doing my research other teen film websites have similar things of a feature completely unique to their website. For example with 'Paper Towns' there was a tab called 'Margo Machine' which I had no idea what it was until I clicked on it and saw it was an interactive tweet generator. Therefore this will entice users into using the websites interactive features. For 'Ava's Scrapbook' I hope to create an interactive youtube video where people can explore a scrapbook of Ava has made, showing her and Izzy's friendship. Youtube allows you to create annotations that you can click on and they take you to different parts of the video so hopefully I can do this so that people can go forwards and backwards through the scrapbook pages as they please.

To fit with this feature, I wanted the look of my whole website to look like a scrapbook and therefore I got images of scrapbook paper and edited them in my theme colours of lilac, orange and green to make them the page backgrounds.

I have worked a lot on my gallery page and I have found that editing my pictures fits into the scrapbook theme as it looks quite arty like mixed media. Further more, the gallery feature I have chosen lays out your images as if they are disposables in a pile, and it allows the users to rotate and move them, and so there will be a little bit of interactivity on this page also.
I made a lot of changes to my homepage and this the end result which I am really pleased with. I used a photo from our photoshoot and edited it to have a scrapbook texture as the background, making it cohesive with the other pages and the image looks more professional. I also added a banner with the title and a bit of text to fill the space, and the inspiration I got for this was from 'TFIOS' and 'Me and Earl and The Dying Girl''s websites. They both seemed to have an animated style to them and therefore I think mine fits well with the genre.
The main interactive part of my website was a youtube video I made flipping through Ava's scrapbook. To this I made the scrapbook, recorded a video of me flipping through it, edited it together putting other footage in between, then uploaded it to youtube where I made annotations that link to different sections of the video. Therefore when the viewer clicks on them (turn page, last page or clicking a photo) they can go through the scrapbook as they please.
